Manchester United have agreed on personal terms with Paris St Germain defender, Serge Aurier, according to reports in France.
Jose Mourinho has invested over £150m on new signings already this summer with Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic joining the club.
According to reports from Paris United, a move for Aurier is also being lined up by the Red Devils, who has reportedly agreed on terms on the move to Old Trafford.
The right-back has been a main stay in the PSG side after signing for the club in 2015 and helped them win the Ligue 1 title in his first season.
But last season, he became embroiled in a bust up with new manager Unai Emery which put his position at the club in serious doubt.
The Parisians recently announced the capture of Brazilian right-back Daniel Alves from Juventus – who is regarded by as the best full-back in the world.
A move for Alves puts Aurier further down the pecking order, and further intensified rumours suggesting the Ivory Coast international was looking to leave the club.
Tottenham were reportedly willing to spend around £30m to bring him to England to replace Kyle Walker, but it appears United lead the race for his signature.
Antonio Valencia impressed at right-back for Mourinho last season, but at the age of 31 and with United’s busy schedule, Aurier would be a perfect competition and a long-term replacement at just 24-years-old.
United are also believed to be close to the signing of Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic and continue to be linked with a record-breaking move to bring Gareth Bale back to England from Real Madrid.
