Fans of the Premier League can rejoice at the thought of no international football until March following the conclusion of the World Cup qualifiers and friendlies this week.

England played out two drab goalless draws against world champions Germany and Brazil with Gareth Southgate assessing his options ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Players will return to their respective clubs ahead of game week 12 of Premier League action with Manchester City leading the race for the title having not lost a game thus far.

Goalkeeper – David de Gea (Manchester United)

Between the sticks, we go with Manchester United’s David de Gea who narrowly pips Burnley’s Nick Pope and Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris to the post. The Spaniard has kept more clean sheets (8) than any other Premier League keeper and has averaged more saves per 90 minutes than Gianluigi Buffon, Manuel Neuer and Keylor Navas. Oddly, the former Atletico keeper received no votes for the 2017 Fifa Best Goalkeeper award.
